FY-25 City of San Diego Affordable Housing Fund Annual Plan
FY-25 City of San Diego Affordable Housing Fund Annual Plan
Purpose of Annual Plan
The San Diego Municipal Code requires the submission of an Affordable Housing Fund (AHF) Annual Plan to the City Council for action.
The City of San Diego AHF Annual Plan:
- Provides a framework for planning and budgeting of AHF fund revenues; and
- Specifies the amount of funds budgeted for housing activities and administrative expenses.
AHF funds are generally flexible though they must go toward serving the housing needs of the City’s very low, low, and median income households. Funds have supported activities and projects including creating affordable housing developments, developing ADUs, Middle-Income homeownership programs, and homelessness solutions including, rapid rehousing and prevention and diversion programs. Please see our Model Programs in the sidebar for more examples. To see how the AHF has been used before please see previous year’s AHF Plans & Reports here.
We want to hear from you on where you think the funds would be best invested in fiscal year 2025. Public engagement in the development of the AHF Annual Plan helps guide the types of activities eligible for AHF-funding in your community and the broader City of San Diego.
Public Comment will be collected until April 3, 2024. All relevant public comments will be included in the final FY25 AHF Plan.
